Achievement Week began as an effort to advance the study of Black life and history. It is now celebrated every November, highlighting and honoring individuals, both locally and internationally who have made significant contributions to improving the lives of Black Americans. In conjunction with the observance, a High School Essay Contest invites college-bound seniors to submit essays on a theme selected by the fraternity. Winners receive college scholarships. This contest is an official component of the International Achievement Week program.

At every level within the fraternity, members are entrusted with the responsibility to facilitate, participate in, and coordinate initiatives that enhance the wellbeing of their communities through the promotion of sound health practices. An international committee is dedicated to orchestrating and guiding comprehensive, multifaceted programs that span across chapters, districts, and other affiliates. It is expected that each local chapter will diligently implement these health directives within their respective communities.
Key programs under the Health Initiatives umbrella include the annual Charles Drew Blood Drive, traditionally held in June, AIDS/HIV Awareness campaigns, and the partnership with the American Diabetes Association. While these signature initiatives provide a framework for engagement, chapters are encouraged to develop and execute additional health-related programs aligned with the overarching Health Initiatives mandate, thereby reinforcing the fraternity’s commitment to community upliftment through proactive health advocacy.

March 12th of each year is solemnly observed as Memorial Day within our chapter. On this date, all chapters are called upon to organize and conduct a dignified memorial service dedicated to honoring the cherished memories of our members who have transitioned into Omega Chapter. This service serves as a solemn reflection on their contributions and enduring legacy, reinforcing the bonds of brotherhood and the values we uphold. Chapters are encouraged to approach this occasion with the utmost respect and reverence, ensuring that the memory of our departed brothers is preserved with grace and honor.

Each district and chapter of the fraternity is mandated to uphold a Life Membership at Large with the NAACP. Should a chapter or district not hold a life membership, it is required to maintain an annual membership to retain good standing within the fraternity. Additionally, all fraternity members are strongly encouraged to actively join the NAACP, reinforcing our collective commitment to its mission and values.
