Greetings,
As we round out this Omega Fiscal Year, I want to take this time to thank all of our brothers, families, patrons, and other friends. Nu Phi Chapter recently celebrated its 80th Anniversary and all of the rich history, which it involves and has evolved for the City of Houston and surrounding areas that goes beyond words of sustenance to expressions of appreciation. One of our missions this year was to engage more brothers and the community at large; and we believe that we have accomplished this through successful events such as the 48th Annual Go-Western Gala, co-sponsored with Omega Nu Phi Educational Center (ONPEC) for scholarships; the 7th Annual Memorial Day Boat Ride; and our collaborative community service projects such as the UNCF Walk-A-Thon, Charles R. Drew Blood Drive, and Thanksgiving meal deliveries to the elderly & sick/shut-in.
These accomplishments are not without acknowledgement of many others who help to support our Chapter functions and events, but are a testament to the commitment Nu Phi Chapter has to uphold the Fraternity’s cardinal principles and our communities in which we live. As I have not communicated all the activities that the Chapter undertakes, nor the vast amount of other uplift activities the Chapter executes, I ask that if any of our friends have suggestions for other events for us to consider, please email us your recommendations. We would love to hear from you all about our updated website, our activities, and any other feedback you would like to share.
May God continue to bless you, your family, and your extended family, Nu Phi Chapter. And to our newest members, the “Three Heads of Cerberus”, I commend you all for your dedication to the Fold and the Chapter.
Humbly submitted,
Henry Emanuel
